With the premiere of the much awaited 'Fear the Walking Dead,' imminent, fans are getting more eager to know what the 'The Walking Dead' spin-off series has in store for them. The opening episode of the series has been titled 'Pilot' and it will air on AMC this Sunday, Aug. 23, at 9 p.m. EDT.

Quoting TV Guide, Latin Post reports that though most fans have been receiving news about the upcoming series from time to time, there is no doubt that the six-episode 'Fear the Walking Dead' Season 1 will still have a lot of surprises for them.

Spoilers Guide reports that the opening episode of 'Fear the Walking Dead' will have a slow start, but it will go full throttle when the action commences.

The premiere episode titled 'Pilot' will first focus on the flawed family dynamic. In fact, they are not simply any kind of average, but come from broken homes. They have assorted cultures and the episode will show a fractured family dynamic ahead of the Walkers' rise.

In the premiere episode of 'Fear the Walking Dead,' viewers will see Madison Clark (Kim Dickens) and her extended family, being brought together by the violence that begins to erupt. Her son, Nick Clark (Frank Dillane), had been separated, becoming a part of the underworld and mired in the drug and criminal scene. On the other hand, her daughter Alicia Clark (Alycia Debnam-Carey) had been so captivated with going out and beginning a new life with her boyfriend that it strained their relationship.

Meanwhile, Madison's fiance Travis (Cliff Curtis) also has a son from a previous marriage and eventually they find a way to bring their families together, as the apocalypse starts establishing supremacy on them.

While the initial reports declare it's a virus, they will not be ignorant of what the Walkers actually are and experience will reveal that they possess the qualities to survive.

'Fear the Walking Dead' is a companion series as well as prequel to the hit television zombie drama 'The Walking Dead,' which also airs on AMC. 'Fear the Walking Dead' Season 1 will be a short one comprising just six episodes and will advance to 13 episodes in Season 2, similar to 'The Walking Dead' in its initial days.
