The Almost 'Fear Inside Our Bones' Releases Tomorrow, Aaron Gillespie (ex-Underoath drummer/vocals) Excited about New Record
The Christian rock band, The Almost, releases their new album, Fear Inside Our Bones, tomorrow on Capitol/Tooth & Nail Records.
This is the third full length record from the Clearwater,Florida band and the first since 2009.
Aaron Gillespie, former drummer and singer for the hardcore Christian band, Underoath, started writing songs when Underoath was recording Define the Great Line.
When Gillespie officially split with Underoath, The Almost and his solo career of leading worship took his full attention.
The Almost released their debut album Southern Weather on April 3, 2007 which spawned their hit single, "Say this Sooner".
Next they released Monster Monster on November 3,2009 featuring "Lonely Wheel" and "Hands".
The Almost has done some touring since the last record but Aaron has seemed to be more focused on his solo worship leading and touring in the last few years, so fans of The Almost were very excited when news that a new album was coming out.
Gillespie has a great way of writing from a place of vulnerability, like his solo arrangement of "Amazing Grace" which he wrote some new lyrics for and the raw emotion on the recording is fantastic.
So having the title of the new record for The Almost being titled, Fear Inside Our Bones, makes sense because it just sounds like that openness that Gillespie likes to portray in his writing.
The Almost will be on the road promoting their new album, opening for Relient K on a month long tour in July along with openers, The Rocketboys.
So if you are a fan of the band, there will be plenty of opportunities to catch them and see them playing several of their new songs as well as old favorites.
