Fast and Furious 7's Tyrese Gibson Offers Thanks to Supporters Who Prayed for Paul Walker's Family and Friends at the 2014 Grammy Awards

As a result Paul Walker's untimely death, Fast & Furious co-star Tyrese Gibson offered thanks to supporters on the red carpet of the Grammy's in Los Angeles last night.

"All the fans around the world that have been praying for Paul's family and his daughter and the cast and his friends... we love you all. It has helped us to rebuild and kind of stay encouraged and inspire to keep going," said Gibson to Extra.

He added that "sometimes we take people praying for you for granted."

Gibson also mentioned that the upcoming Fast & Furious film is still moving forward in production.

"The franchise is still going to go. At this point, 'Fast' is like the United Nations. There are so many people in the movie that fans around the world can identify with, and Paul would want us to keep it going. I brought him with me today in spirit... I went forever sad. All of us have been sad and affected around the world, so thank you all for the prayers. I found my smile again," said Gibson to Extra.

His remarks a few days when fellow actor Kurt Russell who also in The Fast & Furious movie said that the script revisions following Walker's passing on Nov. 30 were disastrous.

"They're having to rewrite, they're having to do whatever they're having to do to deal with the situation. Listen, it's catastrophic. It's the worst thing that could happen to a movie, but it's not as bad as what happened to Paul," said Russell in a conversation with reporters at the Sundance Film Festival.

He added, "So everything is in perspective. He was a terrific guy. And life is full of curveballs."

Russell is rumored to be playing the father to Vin Diesel's character Dominic Toretto in "Fast & Furious 7," which will be released April 10, 2015.

The movie's writer, Chris Morgan stated he is not sure what will happen to Walker's role in the film.

"I mean at this point, everyone took a break and we're having time to grieve," said Morgan to IGN earlier this month. "And now everyone is coming together, linking arms and trying to figure out what the best way forward is. And that's kind of the stage we're at right now. Everyone is motivated to make it something special and move forward in the right way."

"There's nothing set in stone at all. Those are the conversations we're just now having. Nothing's decided. Everything is still open and on the table," he concluded.
