‘Fashion Police’ Cancelled? Final Tribute Episode Ends Program? Joan Rivers Death Sparks Concerns for Show

E!, an American cable channel, behind shows like 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians', is now under serious pressure about whether or not to cancel 'Fashion Police' following Joan Rivers' untimely death. The actress is without a doubt a major loss to the entertainment industry, not only with her talent and wit, but for her philanthropic homage to the 2,753 people who died in the World Trade Center attack on September 11, 2001.

Unfortunately, 'Fashion Police' seems to be at a major loss now that Rivers has passed, since many believe she was irreplaceable on the program. E! will have to make a decision about the show's future, which will surely affect other casts such as Melissa Rivers and Kelly Osbourne.

An executive from the network said, "They would be nuts to go on without Joan, but a lot of it is going to come down to what Melissa wants - she's an executive producer and stars on the show." E! is hosting a two-part tribute episode titled "Joan Rivers: Celebrating An Icon," the first of which aired last Friday, September 5.

Meanwhile, in the wake of Rivers' funeral held at Manhattan's Temple Emanu-El, Hollywood stars such as Sarah Jessica Parker, Whoopi Goldberg, Kathy Griffin, and radio host Howard Stern, gathered with fans to mourn the loss of a great friend and artist. True to her wishes, Rivers indeed got "a huge showiz affair" including full media coverage at the time of her death.

Senior Rabbi Joshua M Davidson, who led the service said, "We mourn with her family, friends and all those millions to whom she brought laughter and joy." Rivers, 81, died on August 28 due to a cardiac arrest during a routine medical procedure.
