Far Cry 4 Release Date on PS3, Xbox 360, PC Confirmed by Ubisoft

Ubisoft, the French multinational video game developer and publisher, has officially confirmed the renewal of its "Far Cry" series. The new edition "Far Cry 4" will be released on Nov. 18 in the United States and on Nov. 20 in Europe on various gaming consoles - PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One as well as the PC.

Unlike the sandy beaches and exotic jungles in "Far Cry 3," the latest game is set in the Himalayan Mountains. All action takes place in the dangerous and wild Kyrat region, which presents a spectacular landscape. However, the region is presently being ruled by a tyrannical king.

Although not much is known about the game, Ubisoft did disclose that it will be complete with a huge assortment of animals, weapons, and vehicles. It is rumored that "Far Cry 4" will incorporate a rideable elephant. The players will be able to create their individual stories with these in an interesting setting.

"Far Cry 4" has been developed jointly by Ubisoft Montreal and Ubisoft Toronto, Ubisoft Keiev, Ubisoft Shanghai and Red Storm Entertainment of Ubisoft.

Company executive producer Dan Hay said, "We wanted to take the franchise to the next level and create a game that will surprise players and exceed fans' expectations," adding, "Given the unique setting, we feel Far Cry 4 will stand out as a top first-person shooter and we're eager to reveal more about the game in the coming months."

Fans of the video game series will not have to wait long and can now pre-order "Far Cry 4." When they do this, they will also be receiving a free pre-order limited edition version upgrade, including Hurk's Redemption. In this exclusive content, players will see the return of Hurk, the popular character in "Far Cry 3" along with his characteristic harpoon gun.
