‘Fantastic Four’ Reboot Rumors: Production Problems Addressed by Producer Simon Kinberg
Of late, there were numerous rumors regarding the 'Fantastic Four' reboot and most of them were regarding the director Josh Trank putting the 20th Century Fox fictional superhero movie based on Marvel Comics into jeopardy. It was being said that the film was not turning out as it was planned. However, 'Fantastic Four' producer and screenwriter Simon Kinberg has now come out to address these rumors.
JustJared quotes Simon confirming that they will be doing about three to four days additional filming with director Trank and some members of the main cast. He said, "We are very excited about the film and can't wait for you to see what we've been up to."
Simon also said that they would soon be releasing a teaser of the movie, adding, "And you will be able to do that very soon as I can confirm here that the teaser will be on Kingsman in theaters Feb. 13."
He also said that 'Kingsman: The Secret Service' will be released in theaters in some weeks' time and the teaser will be part of the film's previews.
According to a report in Latin Post, the gossips took wings last week when a post by a Reddit user, who claimed to be an editor on the upcoming film, talking highly about the movie, but began speculating that director Trank was responsible for triggering problems during production that were responsible for delaying the marketing of the blockbuster scheduled for summer release.
On the other hand, talking to Flickering Myth, Matthew Vaughn, who directed 'Kick-Ass,' 'X-Men: First Class' as well as the latest action-spy thriller 'Kingsman: The Secret Service,' which is be released on Jan. 29, however, said that he appreciates Trank's work on Marvel's first family as well as longest-running superhero team.
Vaughn further said that if moviegoers loved 'Chronicle,' a sci-thriller by Trank that was released in 2012, they can definitely expect a treat again.
The upcoming 'Fantastic Four' movie featuring Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara, Miles Teller, and Jamie Bell star in the film, will hit the theaters on Aug. 7, 2015.
