'Fantastic Four' Reboot Spoilers: Film Stepping Back Into Its Original Roots - Unlike Previous Films

In addition to all the big-budget movies geared up to launch next year, FOX's latest live-action film adaptation of Marvel's 'Fantastic Four' comic book series, has recently been confirmed with a June 19, 2015 release date.

One of the main concerns about the jam-packed 2015 summer movie releases is all the money fans will have to dish out at the cinema. With so many movies launching so close to together, some moviegoers are likely to opt out of watching all of them.

Setting that aside, the confirmed list of cast members for the 'Fantastic Four' film is as follows: Miles Teller as "Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic," Kate Mara as "Susan Storm/Invisible Woman," Michael B. Jordan as "Johnny Storm/Human Torch," Jamie Bell as "Ben Grimm/The Thing," Toby Kebbel as "Victor Von Doom/Doctor Doom," and Reg E. Cathey as "Dr. Franklin Storm."

Current reports name Josh Trank as its director while Simon Kinberg and Matthew Vaughn will work on the screenplay.

The film is rumored to be a coming of age film for the young 'Fantastic Four' superheroes. If that is the case then this installment will be surely different than the version that starred Chris Evans and Jessica Alba.

Writer and producer Kinberg said "We're treating this as the origin of the Fantastic Four so in future movies you'd have them on sort of splashier adventures to some extent, but this one we tried to ground the science as much as possible and make it feel like it could take place in our world before it cantilevers into other worlds," he told Science Fiction.

Kinberg also mentioned, "It's a much more grounded, gritty, realistic movie than the last couple movies." At this point, fans should expect that the movie will be less explosive and exaggerated as the previous versions, basically, the new film will bring the 'Fantastic Four' back to its roots.

"This Fantastic Four movie is sort of a celebration of all Fantastic Four comics that have preceded it...We have elements from the original Fantastic Four...We also owe a lot to the Ultimate's and the current crop of Fantastic Four comics and you'll see that...It's really sort of inspired by all the different history of the Fantastic Four comics...There isn't one comic that defines the movie" Kinberg concluded.
