House of Cards' Kate Mara Cast in Fantastic Four Reboot Movie: News Also Confirms Jamie Bell
After a lengthy casting process, Fox finally appears to have gathered the cast for its "Fantastic Four" remake. Miles Teller, Kate Mara and Jamie Bell will all join Michael B. Jordan in the newest installment in the legendary comic book franchise by Marvel Comics.
Mara just recently sealed the deal to play as Sue Storm aka The Invisible Woman. While no offer is revealed up till now, Bell is projected to be selected to play Ben Grimm also known as The Thing.
Teller has reportedly been given a proposal to play as the team's leader Reid Richards aka Mr. Fantastic. However, the contract details seems far from being finalized anytime soon.
Teller and Mara have been on Fox's radar since they were anticipated to test in November, events that were pushed when Simon Kinberg penned the last version on the script.
Bell came into the mix after Fox resumed screen tests. Jordan has been linked for a while to play Johnny Storm aka The Human Torch.
Based on the comic "The Ultimate Fantastic Four," the modern update will focus on the characters as young men and women. Josh Trank will direct the film along with Kinberg, Matthew Vaughn and Gregory Goodman serving as the movie's producers.
With its four leading role set, Fox will now attempt to find its villain and expects to test several actors in the upcoming weeks.
"The Fantastic Four" movie reboot is set to arrive in American theaters on June 19, 2015.
