Family Force 5's new album Time Stands Still will be releasing on August 5, and iTunes is offering the track "Sweep the Leg" for anyone who pre-orders the record from now until the launch.

Yesterday "Sweep the Leg" debuted at No. 1 on iTunes Top Christian & Gospel Chart. The song was inspired by the move from "Karate Kid" and was released the same day the movie came to Netflix. The song can be downloaded here.

Their latest single "BZRK" featuring Christian rapper KB, has over 300,000 views on YouTube, and is the No. 1 viewed video on MTV.com.

This album will be their first with new lead singer Jacob "Crouton" Olds as he replaced his brother Soul Glow Activatur (Solomon Olds).

"Since the beginning, Family Force 5 has felt called to stretch boundaries, to step outside of the box from the way faith-based artists have traditionally sounded and worked," said Crouton in a press release, "We've received a lot of criticism for that over the last eight-and-a-half years and our team has always struggled with the right way to respond."

The band's music has covered the spectrum of almost every genre from rock, pop, crunk, dance, and even dubstep. With this album they are continuing more of the same in their own unique way.

"The night before one of our final studio sessions, I watched a live Switchfoot video," said guitarist/vocalist Derek "Chap Stique" Mount in the press release, "I was particularly struck by a moment when Jon Foreman spoke to the crowd. He mentioned that there were protesters outside the venue and he said something that I thought was magical to the audience. He encouraged them to remember there was something deeper than disagreement, and there is beauty in connection, in common ground. He also said we have one card to play, and that card is love. This is the sentiment that has served as our inspiration for our song, 'Let It Be Love.' So we wanted to emphasize the incredible, life-giving power of grace. We feel that anytime we face the question, 'what is the right response?,' the answer is, 'love.'"
