'Fallout 4' Release Date Rumors: Bethesda Silent on Launch - Arrival Projected to Be October 2015
While Bethesda Softworks, which owns the rights to the 'Fallout' franchise, has confirmed that 'Fallout 4' is already in the works, they have not yet specified a release date.
Even though fans are eager and excited about the news of an upcoming fourth addition to the series, there is no official release date as of yet. However, rumor has it that the game will be announced early next year.
Other reports take it one step further and claim that the title should be available for purchase by the end of the year.
Previously, there were rumors that 'Fallout 4' would be announced at a PAX East event in August 2014, but that did not happen. While some fans think that the announcement for the game has been delayed, others feel that there will be no 'Fallout' 4 at all.
However, JBG News reports that there are rumors claiming that the upcoming game will be set in Boston and gamers will see Androids being forced to work. The storyline, as predicted by Air Herald, is that the nuclear fallout has demolished nearly all regions of the world, excepting Boston. Boston managed to survive the disaster, as it is considered to be the most industrially advanced city in the series.
It's been six whole years since 'Fallout 3' was released, and fans have been clamoring for an addition to the post-apocalpytic RPG series. While Bethesda remains silent on the matter, the only thing fans of the franchise can turn to is rumors and speculation.
Stepping into those rumors, sources claim that 'Fallout 4' will be released in October 2015 or in 2016, but that has not been confirmed.
As it stands, there's no word as to which platforms the game might be supported on. However, it makes sense to assume that it's being developed on the next-gen platforms (PS4 and Xbox One) as well as Windows PC.
