‘Fallout 4’ Latest News: Bethesda Confirms New Game Launch, Releases Trailer [VIDEO]

The wait for the post-apocalyptic role playing game 'Fallout 4' seems to be over, as Bethesda Softworks has not only confirmed the release of the game on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but also released a three-minute trailer.

A latest report in IB Times says that the trailer revealed that the game is set in Boston wasteland. In fact, earlier rumors had also hinted the same setting for the new RPG from Bethesda.

The three-minute odd video clip introduces the players to a canine companion they can have, gliding between the time prior to and after the "nuclear detonation." The video also includes a song, "It's All Over But the Crying," from the Ink Spots that was also featured in other previous 'Fallout' games. In addition, the trailer also introduces players to a variety of aspects of the post-apocalyptic Boston setting, counting a few snapshots of its landmarks, but all of them in dilapidated condition.

Snapshots of some of the post-apocalyptic landmarks of Boston shown in the video include the Bunker Hill Monument, the USS Constitution and the Massachusetts State House.

According to the report, the revelation comes after a 24 hour countdown timer soliciting fans to "please stand by" for news. Fans of 'Fallout 4' would certainly be overjoyed after this reveal. The last 'Fallout' game titled 'Fallout: New Vegas' was released in 2010.

Bethesda Softworks has announced that it would be releasing 'Fallout 4' on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Currently, the game is currently available for pre-ordering and the pre-order costs $59.99. In fact, the studio has put up a placeholder release date Dec. 31, 2015.

Meanwhile, Bethesda will be participating in the upcoming E3 Showcase, scheduled for June 14 at 7:00 p.m. PT, for the first time where the company will premiere the much anticipated game.
