Rumor has it that The Expendables franchise is gearing up to launch a fourth addition to the series and will cast an all-female set of actors. The new female roles are intended to parallel the aging action super stars from previous installments.

Casting females roles to possess the same type of screen presence demonstrated by Sylvester Stallone or Arnold Schwarzenegger will surely be a feat. Word has been going around that Maleficent star Angelina Joli may be a member of a powerhouse female cast as well as Gina Carano, Ronda Rousey, Michelle Rodriguez and many others. 

The Expendables spin-off movie is rumored to be called "The Expendabelles" since it will have an all-female cast.

Zoe Bell expressed her intentions to be part of it, "Gina Carano, Ronda Rousey, Michelle Rodriguez just cause I think she's like - she is one of those people that just is a bit of a shit-kicker. I feel like in real life she is kind of cool and tough and sexy all at once. I don't feel like she's being someone else when she's doing it. And then I decided I'd bring back Linda Hamilton and Sigourney Weaver... and me!" she told Crave Online.

Reports spread that the plot would be about an impossible mission that only women could complete. Clearly, there is no man for the job when America's Navy seals are wiped out on an island where one of the world's top nuclear scientists was captured. The only way to reach them would be the use of the world's deadliest female operatives posing as high-class call-girls shipped in by private plane to satisfy a lecherous dictator.

There is still no official announcement with regards to the release date of the movie or whether its stage of production.
