'Expendables 3' Download Leaks Online; Film Already Pirated Over 200,000 Times Just Three Weeks Before Release Date

"Expendables 3" has been leaked online just three weeks before the movie is even set to come out, and has already been pirated close to 200,000 times.

The upcoming huge action flick starring Sylvester Stallone and a host of other action stars from the 80's and 90's, is somehow circling the Internet in DVD quality. According to Variety, the movie began surfacing on Wednesday, and downloads really began to fly on Thursday as the movie is growing exponentially into the hundreds of thousands or even million mark views.

The flick is set to premiere on August 15, and this leak will definitely hurt ticket sales in the box office.

Variety reported that something similar happened to 'The Wolverine' movie in 2009, as it was downloaded 15 million times resulting in the loss of tens of millions of dollars for 20th Century Fox.

"Expendables 1 & 2" made an estimated $600 million combined, and this next one added even more fire power to the roster of characters: Kelsey Grammar, Mel Gibson, Wesley Snipes, Harrison Ford to name a few.

Entertainment Weekly reported that the initial file appears to be traced back to a user named Drarbg, but finding one person to pin the blame on would be nearly impossible.

This is a problem theaters have been dealing with for years, but usually leaks are of poor quality and most occur after the film has been released in theaters. If these pre-movie leaks become more prevalent it could really begin to do damage to the movie industry.
