'Exodus: Gods and Kings' Movie Releases Trailer Showing 10 Plagues and Battle Between Moses and Ramses (WATCH TRAILER)
The upcoming Bible epic, Exodus: Gods and Kings releases first trailer days after movie posters are revealed.
The Ridley Scott film is already receiving criticism from skeptics who think the director will stray away from Bible truths but at first glance of the trailer the film will focus on the relationship of Moses and Ramses and the battle between the two.
The clip shows some of the plagues sent by God on Egypt like the rivers of blood, and the hale storms. The film features a star-studded cast including Christian Bale as Moses, Joel Edgerton as Ramses, Sigourney Weaver, Ben Kingsley, John Turturro, and Aaron Paul.
According to the film summary the movie is set to retell the biblical account found in Exodus of Moses, a prophet who stood up to Pharaoh, Ramses, as he helps free more than 600,000 slaves. Moses will then lead those people through the desert away from Egypt.
The movie production was filmed in AlmerÃa, Spain along the Mediterranean Sea, and Fuerteventura, and one of the Canary Islands.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly Bale said that the film will be nothing like the 1956 interpretation of the Moses account The Ten Commandments starring Charlton Heston as Moses.
"The biblical account of Moses is extraordinary, and there was lots of room for us to go to places that The Ten Commandments never dreamed of going," Oscar-winning actor Bale said.
