'Evolve' Xbox One Beta Release Date: DLC Will Be Available
'Evolve', the first person shooter game by Turtle Rock Studios, will be releasing its Beta version by January 15 of 2015, exclusively on Xbox One. According to tech giant Microsoft, DLC for the highly anticipated game will also be made available for the title.
Fans are excited about the unique style of gameplay involved in the new Turtle Rock title. Players will be combining their efforts to defeat various monsters controlled by the game's AI. The game sets up a four versus one type match where the first player chooses the monster they must battle with, while the others choose one of the various hunters to use.
Also, another game mode will allow a player to assume the role of the monster and use its abilities to face other online players.
A video from Gamescon 2014 showcased some of the gameplay for 'Evolve'.
The video features the hunters Lazarus the Medic, Hank the Support, Hyde the Assault and Griffin the Trapper who fight against a Kraken monster set on a new map entitled Distillery. The game-player can choose from any of the four hunters, while a corresponding leveling system applies to each role.
Besides fighting against a massive beast as a unified group of four, players will have other obstacles to avoid. Hunters will encounter various environmental deterrents, which will surely slow down any player who's not careful enough to evade them.
'Evolve' recently won Best of Gamescom, Best PC Game, Best Console Game Microsoft Xbox, Best Action Game, and Best Online Multiplayer Game. The game will be officially released on February 10, 2015 for Microsoft's Xbox One, Sony's Playstation 4, and PCs.
