'Evil Dead' Bruce Campbell Talks about the Remake of 'Evil Dead'. 'Evil Dead' Ratings and Reviews. Rotten Tomatoe Critics. LIVE Q&A with Bruce Campbell.
"Evil Dead" was a 2009 recorded and 2013 released horror film,. The 2013 remake of the classic 1981 movie, makes it the fourth installment of the 'Evil Dead' franchise. The film follows five friends to a stranded cabin where they find a book, "Book of the Dead". When they start to discover what is in the book, the five friends accidently summon dormant demons living in the woods surrounding the cabin. The demons start with the youngest and gain total control of the cabin, as there is only one left to fight for survival.
Rotten Tomatoe stated that 'Evil Dead' " may lack the absurd humor that underlined the original, bu the new look Evil Dead compensates with brutal terror, gory scares, and gleefully bloody violence." The new spinoff got a 65% rating from fans and a 62% rating for Critics choice. Felix Vasquez Jr. from Cinema Crazed stated. " A masterful new version that adds even more value to Sam Raimi's masterpiece than ever." The Producer, Bruce Campbell, one of the original producers to the 'Evil Dead' franchise, talked about the movie and how he really wanted it to become a real rated R, horror film. ""We have to try and get it to R. Wish us luck. We haven't gone through the ratings nightmare yet, that's coming. We have a screening coming up for the MPAA, I can hear them laughing already. We're gonna give them the toughest version that we can give them. That's what they want, you want a horror movie, man. Bring it.".
Producer Bruce Campbell, is also a cast member of the Tv drama, "Burn Notice". A show that follows three spys in their effort to protect their lives, while fighting off old counterparts. The show, "Burn Notice", is having some difficulty staying on air after this last season, and this year may be the last we see of the drama television show. Bruce also talked about the possibility of the seven season show going off air and his time being on set. ""I'll be done with this show next season, I mean seven's plenty for anything. But I have no problem spinning the character off. There's been lots of talk about that, because we've already done a TV movie version of it."I don't run the show, but seven's a good number. Ain't nothin' wrong with seven. It gets too expensive after that, everybody wants big money. They want David Caruso money after that, back up the truck. "
