Eva Mendes & Ryan Gosling Baby News: 'Ghost Rider' Actress' Strict Low Carb Diet
It has only been a month since Hollywood actress Eva Mendes gave birth to a baby girl last September 12. The new mother is looking fit and still blooming as she is spotted for the first time out with friends in Los Angeles.
Mendes is looking good as she was recently photographed while walking with her friends. "Eva's flattered that people think she looks good, but she's not taking complete credit for it. She knows genetics plays a big role. She has great genes," a source told E! News.
The 40-year-old celebrity is apparently on a low carb high protein diet according to the source from the news agency. The source revealed that the mom to baby girl Esmeralda Amada has been eating off a high protein and low carb delivery plan. "Overall, she's trying to eat only when hungry and not snack too much," the source continued.
The actress is also reportedly drinking more water, but still taking in some extra 300 calories which is the same amount she had during her pregnancy to have the energy to nurse her new baby with boyfriend and Hollywood actor Ryan Gosling.
However, a strict diet would also need a little break. Apparently, the mother of one sets a day for her Spanish meals which she cooks with her mom for her cheat day. "For her splurges, her mom's been cooking her traditional Spanish dishes. Those are her treats. While Ryan is gone, her mom has been spending a lot of time helping her. His mom comes too, but her mom is the mainstay," the source added.
Mendes' diet is definitely working for her as she achieved her fit figure in just one month after giving birth. Although it has been reported that the actress hasn't gone back to her regular exercise routine yet, so far it looks like she doesn't need it at this point.
