'Entourage' Movie Release Date News: Film Set to Launch June 12, 2015

Fans of the popular TV series 'Entourage' can now rejoice as Warner Bros. has finally set the release date for 'Entourage' - the feature film based on the TV series - as June 12, 2015.

This much-awaited movie adaptation will star Adrian Grenier as Vincent Chase, Kevin Connolly as Eric Murphy, Jerry Ferrara as Turtle, Jeremy Piven as Ari Gold and Kevin Dillon playing Johnny "Drama" Chase among others. The film will also have some new characters played by Billy Bob Thornton and Haley Joel Osment who will play a father-son duo, including a guest appearance by popular Hollywood star Liam Neeson. Doug Ellin, the creator and writer of the TV series will also direct the movie based on one of his own screenplays.

The reason for the somewhat late release date of the movie was explained by producer Mark Wahlberg, who said it took some effort to get the movie off the ground because they spent a significant amount of time trying to "make it feel like a film and not a long Entourage episode."

Mark went on to state, "I think that the amount of time that we waited is actually pretty good for the movie and the audience." Filming the 'Entourage' movie began on February 19th, 2014 in Los Angeles with some scenes also being shot in Miami, Florida.

The TV series deals with the life of aspiring actor Vincent Chase and his friends from New York City trying to understand the big bad world of Hollywood in Los Angeles, California.

Although there has been no trailer released and the plot is being kept under wraps, speculation about the story has been rampant among fans. The TV series' storyline ended with Vincent getting married to Sofia, and his best friend Eric quitting his job to concentrate on his relationship.

The post-credits sequence also includes a scene where Ari, Vince's agent, gets a call from John Ellis offering him the position of CEO and Chairman of Time Warner. The movie storyline will pick up 6 months after the end of the TV series.
