After three months of waiting, fans of "Empire" season 2 finally had answers to the many mind-twisters left by the midseason ender.

In "Empire" season 2 episode 11, it was revealed that after being deliberately knocked down the stairs by a still unknown character in the previous episode, Rhonda was able to survive. Unfortunately, though, the baby inside her did not make it out alive.

Meanwhile, Hakeem took the place of his previously ousted father as the CEO of Empire Entertainment, taking Camilla's side and further humiliating Lucious. He also did let his mother and Lucious' ex-wife Cookie enter into the fold.

Throughout episode 11, Cookie was shown convincing Lucious that she was capable of bringing the company back into his hands, but Lucious remained having misgivings.

Towards the end of the episode, Lucious decided to meet with his son Hakeem to scare him off by giving him a fatherly death threat, should he fail to turn his decisions around. This time, Lucious and Cookie are on the same boat more than they were as husband and wife as they fight together to reclaim what is supposed to be theirs. This fight is expected to open windows of opportunities for them to rekindle their love.

Given the circumstances that the characters and Empire are in, it seems that Empire Entertainment is in a truly precarious situation. Camilla is determined to get Hakeem and his trust back, so she lets him make some deals. However, she will continue to subtly keep him and Empire under her control without Hakeem knowing.
