Eminem New Album & Tour 2013, Producing Protege Skylar Grey's New Debut Album 2013
Eminem may have been off the radar recently, but that doesn't mean he hasn't been working hard.
Eminem surfaced at the end of last year appearing on 50 Cent's song "My Life". Then he also had a rap and cameo in Skylar Grey's video, "C'mon Let Me Ride".
Eminem has been executive producing for his female singing protege Skylar Grey on her debut full length album called Don't Look Down on July 9th. Grey's next single off her debut album dropped last week and is the darker and explicit piece called, "Final Warning".
Grey first became known for her vocal work on Eminem's "Love The Way You Lie" and Dr. Dre's "I Need A Doctor". Two years ago Skylar Grey turned heads with her Grammy performance alongside Eminem and Dr. Dre on "I Need a Doctor" which started the buzz on who the unknown singer was.
In February, Eminem's manager Paul Rosenberg had mentioned that Em's new album is due in stores anytime post Memorial day.
A Detroit radio station leaked July 2 as a release date for Eminem's new album. The station did say that this was unconfirmed new, but from all signs seems that the release would be in July before his tour dates start.
He has confirmed dates Aug 15-25 in Europe and will close his time out there headlining this year's Reading and Leeds Festivals in the UK over the weekend August 23-25. Reading Festival have announced this year's Headliners which include Green Day, Biffy Clyro and Eminem. Also playing the festival this year are Fall Out Boy, System of a Down, Deftones, Bring Me The Horizon, Nine Inch Nails, New Found Glory, Frank Turner, Brand New, Skrillex, The Lumineers and more.
The buzz is higher the ever with new album and tour dates confirmed for 2013 and new news coming out every day. With tour dates confirmed, it would be expected that Eminem's new record would be out before then so fans know the new songs.
Daft Punk has their new album coming out in May called Random Access Memories which will be competing with Eminem for best summer album of 2013.
Fans are still waiting on official word for U.S. dates but with the new album dropping this summer. No word on any dates yet, but a U.S. Tour by Eminem is fully expected. Tyler the Creator and Kendrick Lamar are rumored to be joining Eminem on his 2013 tour dates. Also possible would be 50 Cent or his female singing protege Skylar Grey.
2013 is set to be a big year for Eminem.
