Eminem New Album Releasing before Tour 2013, Rumored Guests Including 50 Cent, Tyler the Creator, Skylar Grey & Kendrick Lamar
Eminem surfaced at the end of last year and appeared on the 50 Cent's song "My Life". This made fans want to hear more from Eminem and rumors started to rise about when he would put out his next record.
Eminem also has been working & executive producing with his female singing protege Skylar Grey on her debut full length album called Don't Look Down on July 9th according to Rolling Stone, so Em has been keeping busy.
The buzz is higher the ever with new album and tour dates confirmed for 2013 and new news coming out every day. With tour dates confirmed, it would be expected that Eminem's new record would be out before then so fans know the new songs.
Eminem's new album is finished, according to hip-hop producer and rapper Dr Dre and rumors are a release date of the Tuesday after Memorial Day (May 28th). Also in February, Eminem's manager Paul Rosenberg had mentioned that the album is due in stores anytime post Memorial day. So no one was sure if that meant May or a long wait after that.
A Detroit radio station leaked July 2 as a release date for Eminem's new album. The station did say that this was unconfirmed new, but from all signs seems that the release would be in July before his tour dates start.
He has confirmed dates Aug 15-25 in Europe and will close his time out there headlining this year's Reading and Leeds Festivals in the UK over the weekend August 23-25. Reading Festival have announced this year's Headliners which include Green Day, Biffy Clyro and Eminem. Also playing the festival this year are Fall Out Boy, System of a Down, Deftones, Bring Me The Horizon, Nine Inch Nails, New Found Glory, Frank Turner, Brand New, Skrillex, The Lumineers and more.
Working on the new Eminem album has helped Dr. Dre rekindle his fire passion to create music as well.
"Em is finishing up his project," Dr Dre told Power 106 FM. "And for me man, I've just gotten inspired again to go back into the studio." Dre went on to say, "I'm just really having fun with life and having fun with being creative and trying new and different things with myself, just trying to stay active. As you know, it's been almost 30 years for me in music. It's a little bit difficult to keep getting inspired to get back in there but you know, music is my first love and I'm going to continue to do that as long as I can."
Daft Punk has their new album coming out in May called Random Access Memories which will be competing with Eminem for best summer album of 2013.
Fans are still waiting on official word for U.S. dates but with the new album dropping this summer. No word on any dates yet, but a U.S. Tour by Eminem is fully expected.
Tyler the Creator and Kendrick Lamar are rumored to be joining Eminem on his 2013 tour dates. Also possible would be 50 Cent or his female singing protege Skylar Grey.
