The photo above was posted on Detroit rapper Big Sean's instagram profile with the caption, "Today was Historical".  

Big Sean has been wanting to work with Eminem for a long time now and he talked about him finally reaching out to him in this MTV article and interview with Tim Westwood.  

"Em reached out to me like, 'Come to the studio, come hang out when you get a chance,' " Big Sean said then. "We gonna make that happen right now, that's the legend right there."

Big Sean inititally signed with GOOD records, through Kayne West in 2007.  

Eminem may have been off the radar recently, but that doesn't mean he hasn't been working hard.  Eminem surfaced at the end of last year appearing on 50 Cent's song "My Life".  Then he also had a rap and cameo in Skylar Grey's video, "C'mon Let Me Ride".

Eminem has been executive producing for his female singing protege Skylar Grey on her debut full length album called Don't Look Down on July 9th. Grey's next single off her debut album dropped last week and is the darker and explicit piece called, "Final Warning". 

Grey first became known for her vocal work on Eminem's "Love The Way You Lie" and Dr. Dre's "I Need A Doctor".  Two years ago Skylar Grey turned heads with her Grammy performance alongside Eminem and Dr. Dre on "I Need a Doctor" which started the buzz on who the unknown singer was.   

Eminem's new record is now rumored to come out sometime in July before his tour dates start in August. 

He has confirmed dates Aug 15-25 in Europe and will close his time out there headlining this year's Reading and Leeds Festivals in the UK over the weekend August 23-25.  Reading Festival have announced this year's Headliners which include Green Day, Biffy Clyro and Eminem. Also playing the festival this year are Fall Out Boy, System of a Down, Deftones, Bring Me The Horizon, Nine Inch Nails, New Found Glory, Frank Turner, Brand New, Skrillex, The Lumineers and more.
