Eminem New Album 2013: Official Release Date Labor Day, September 2? "Slim Shady" to Perform New Songs at "Shock the World" 2013, European Tour in August.

Could it be? Could we finally have an official release date for Eminem's new album? Buzz around the Internet points to a September 2, Labor Day release for the "Not Afraid" rapper's brand new tracklist.

If the September 2 release date is true, that will mean a new album should hit shelves right as the "Slim Shady" rapper finishes his mini-tour in Europe, in August.

Before the tour however, Em is scheduled to show off some new songs at the "Shock the World" party in New York City, August 7. Special guests, rumored to play with Em at "Shock the World" include DJ Mick Boogie and Shady Records label mate Yelawolf. This will mark the second consecutive year Em will perform for G-Shock.

As excited as I would be to know for sure Eminem's new album will be released on Labor Day, I refuse to put all my eggs in one basket. If you remember months ago, rumors pointed towards a Memorial Day release for the new batch of songs. Then the speculations dumped on a possible July 4^th deadline. So if September 2, gets passed up you can pretty much guarantee rumors of a Halloween or Christmas release date.

Moral of the story? Don't rush art, as Eminem's hype man Mr. Porter keeps telling the army of Twitter followers who continue criticize Em's calmed down pace.

The only sure fire way to hear some new tracks off Eminem's new album, is to either squeeze your way into the G-Shock party in NYC or hop on a plane to Europe and catch him at one of these tour dates.
