Eminem Release's New Limited Edition G-Shock Watch
The master of rap, Eminem, has just announced that he will be working with G-Shock in order to help them release a new watch just in time for the companies 30th anniversary. The GDX6900MNM-1, as it has been named, is a spruced-up version of the XL-6900 watch, and has a clever backwards 'E' in support of Eminem. Eminem has signed the watch with his signature rap name, Shady, as the band loop and face of the watch hold the 'E' for his first name. "...the GDX6900MNM-1 pays homage to Eminem's rise from one of the Worlds most rugged urban terrains - the streets of downtown Detroit," G-Shock says in the watch's description. The city of Detroit is shown on the watches upper band in a red skyline feature. The new G-Shock watch will be equipped with a balck dial and balck reverse LCD. It will also be shock resistant, as well as water resistent.
"With hip-hop it's as much about where it's from as who it's for," Shigenori Itoh, Chairman and CEO of Casio America, Inc., said in a press release. "Eminem has an immense and loyal fan base around the world, as does G-SHOCK, making this collaborationone that will connect closely with many thousands of collective fans."
