Xbox One gamers have been awaiting the release of Dying Light, but unfortunately, the release has been moved to 2015. The game will be available for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4 and the PC, according to Techland, the game's developer.

"We know you've been waiting on a 'Dying Light' release date for quite some time now," Wroclaw, Poland-based Techland said last May, "After careful consideration, we have decided to release our upcoming game in February 2015. Since this means 'Dying Light' will launch a few months later than originally planned, we feel obliged to explain the reasons that influenced this important decision."

Techland also said that they want to further improve the game to provide its players "freedom of movement unprecedented in open-world games."

They also assured the fans that the delay would be for the best since the extended period would allow them to increase the gameplay quality, "The new date ensures that we can fully realize our vision of an innovative open-world game. We won't need to make compromises or trade-offs on any of the five platforms we're working on. For you, it means an outstanding, original game that makes the wait more than worthwhile."

A new Dying Light preview was also released on the PS Blog, "With our latest 'Humanity' trailer, we wanted to present a deeper vision of what a zombie epidemic would mean for humankind," Tymon Smektala, the game's producer said on the blog, "'Epidemic' being the crucial word here. Mutating into a zombie is a result of infection, not some kind of a supernatural transformation, but simply a disease, just like flu, pneumonia, or SARS."

Dying Light is a first-person horror game that challenges gamers to use their logic to survive until sunrise. During the day, "players will traverse an expansive urban environment overrun by a vicious outbreak, scavenging the world for supplies and crafting weapons to defend against the growing infected population," according to IGN.
