Duggar Family ’19 Kids and Counting’ Renewed for Season 9: Will Feature Jessica Duggar and Derick Dillard Wedding
Expect to see more of the Duggar family this Fall as their show, '19 Kids and Counting' has been renewed for another season. TLC hasn't announced the renewal, but the family's official blog said that fans can look forward to more new episodes, including a special featuring the wedding of Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard.
Aside from the show's renewal, the blog also spilled some details and photographs about the wedding. It was reported that 1,500 family and friends attended the reception.
Sierra was tasked as one of the party planners, and she, along with her three assistants, had three months to plan the wedding. They were also told that as many as 3,000 people may attend.
Many of the wedding's details and main highlights were inspired by Pinterest boards. One particularly creative and sentimental touch included displaying the wedding dress worn by the bride's mother and grandmother, as well as Dillard's late father's police officer uniform. It was reported that many of the supplies were purchased from Craigslist from a woman who had a wedding six months prior. The blog also mentioned that the food at the reception included 3,000 servings of cake, 2,000 cupcakes, 3,000 root beer floats, and lots of pickles and popcorn.
Duggar and Dillard's courtship was seen throughout the eighth season of the TLC reality show. The season ended with a proposal and an engagement between the couple.
The couple officially wed on June 21, and the ceremony was made extra special due to the fact that it was the moment that the couple had their very first kiss. Fans of the show know that the pair is very religious and have been determined to stick to their Christian principles since day one of their courtship.
'19 Kids and Counting' will air its ninth season this Fall on TLC.
