Duck Dynasty Season 6 Release Date, Cast News: Premiere Date June 11 for Robertson Family on A&E Network
The A&E network has officially announced the return of the Robertson family's popular reality series "Duck Dynasty", with Season 6 set to premiere in June.
In the Season 6 Premiere episode, the Robertson's kinfolk will be greeted by Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal when he presents Duck Commander CEO Willie Robertson with the inaugural Governor's Award for Entrepreneurial Excellence. Willie's father founded the Duck Commander Company back in 1972 in West Monroe, Louisiana.
"It was really neat to have the governor on our show," said Willie Robertson to the News-Star. "He did a great job and is used to cameras being around, so he was a natural...and playing yourself always helps."
Jindal revealed the feeling was mutual when he spent time with the Robertsons on the set of the reality series.
"The Robertson family epitomizes what it means to be a homegrown Louisiana business," said Jindal to The News-Star. "We are proud of the economic boom Louisiana is seeing, and a large part of this is due to the expansion of individuals who run small businesses like the Duck Commanders do.
The Republican further expressed his views on the experience he had with the family from Louisiana.
"My family and I had so much fun hanging out with the Robertsons and participating in the filming of Duck Dynasty was a highlight."
The upcoming Season 6 Premiere episode of "Duck Dynasty" is titled "Governor's Travels."
The critically acclaimed reality series "Duck Dynasty" returns on the A&E network on Wednesday June 11 at 10 pm EST.
