Duck Dynasty New Episode Recap: "I'm Part Six Million Dollar Man...And Part Robo Cop!" Si Says as He Creates a War Movie (VIDEO)
A&E's hit series Duck Dynasty returned for its Season 5 premiere with two brand new episodes on January 15. Tonight has an all-new episode titled "Life of Si." In the new Life of Si episode, Phil Robertson's brother Si becomes a digital filmmaker.
In tonight's episode the viewers literally see life through Si's eyes, as he attached a camera on top of his army helmet that he wore in the Vietnam War.
"I'm part Six Million Dollar Man...and part Robo Cop," said Si wearing his army helmet with the camera attached to it.
Si then decided to changes his movie from an autobiographical documentary shot from his first person point of view, to a "war movie," when he went deer hunting with his nephews. In addition, Willie and his kids, Sadie and John Luke, were lost when trying to attend an LSU Tigers game.
Back at the house with Kay and Phil, Si revealed the title of his film, "For Your Eyes Only," and then he had to change it after one of his nephews revealed to him that was also a title for one of the James Bond films. Then the show spliced up a Si/James Bond parody montage. The show ended with the family signature prayer at the dinner table reflecting on today's episode.
Season 5 has aired two episodes prior to tonight's episode. The Season 5 premiere episode was called "Boomerang Becca." The second episode of the season was named "Willie's Number Two."
In the Season Premiere episode of "Boomerang Becca," Rebecca Robertson returned home in Louisiana after leaving Los Angeles. Her family threw her a welcome home party. Rebecca became Willie and Korie's foster daughter when she originally lived with the family as a foreign exchange student from Taiwan. However, the Robertson family became very fond of her and adopted her as one of their own.
Also in the "Boomerang Becca" episode, Missy Kay took care of her brother-in-law Si after he became sick at her house. As a result, she also became sick. Phil took care of both his sick family members before bringing the gumbo to Rebecca's homecoming party.
In the other episode, "Willie's Number Two," Willie hired his brother-in-law John David as his personal assistant after his wife Korie convinced him to do so. Willie's brother Jase and the rest of the guys at the Duck Commander storehouse did not initially welcome David to the company, until he broke the ice with some donuts and a basketball.
In "Willie's Number 2" episode, Uncle Si took Jep and his kids on a lengthy treasure hunt for candy after giving the kids clues so difficult that Jep did not know the answers. The candy was later discovered buried underground.
Duck Dynasty airs on the A&E network on Wednesdays at 10pm EST.
