'Duck Dynasty' Season 4 Episode 2 "So You Think You Can Date" Recap: Martin Finds a Girlfriend, Posts Picture on Twitter [PHOTOS]
Last night's episode of Duck Dynasty Season 4 featured Martin, the soft-spoken beard, going out on his first date. To get to the redneck's soft spot, the Robertson brothers had to be pretty tough on him.
A barrage of insults followed Martin's announcement he'd be missing the Friday night poker game because of his new love interest.
"Is it Mothers' Day?" asked Willie Robertson.
"Is she a United States citizen?" questioned Jase Robertson. "Did you get her on mail order?"
Speaking of women, since the Robertson men weren't going to give their friend any good advice, the Robertson women decide to step in and aid the clearly inept redneck.
Korie saw something in Martin that not even Martin saw, and told him, "All you have to do is be yourself." Willie's wife added: "Martin is such a sweet guy. Any girl would be lucky to have him."
Sweet or not, Korie and Missy knew they'd need to pick out an outfit for Martin's date, comparing his fashion sense to a seventh grader. They ultimately forced him to wear a pink button down ["dirty Easter egg] with his hair slicked back.
Meanwhile, Robertson patriarch, Phil was trying to teach his granddaughters some wildlife lessons and took them fishing. One of the "squealing" girls caught a giant catfish. Right when Phil was proud of the yuppy children, they turned on him, and refused to eat the fish.
"We can't eat him," the granddaughter protested. "He has brothers and sisters out there!"
All in all, Phil convinced the girls to fry the fish and Martin got a second date. Must have been some date because Martin posted a picture of him and now longtime girlfriend Brittany Brugman on Twitter with a caption that read:
"That was pre first date with ?@BrittanyBrugman. We've been together a while now so I guess I did something right."
