Duck Dynasty's Phil Robertson Defends GQ Comments Regarding Homosexuality In New Video

In a new released video, "Duck Dynasty" star Phil Robertson defended his Christian views regarding sin that he expressed in last year's GQ magazine, which was strongly attacked by gay activists.

"They were mad at me,' said Robertson to the congregation at Whites Ferry Road Church in the YouTube video. "You say, 'Why'd they get mad at you?' Cause instead of acknowledging their sin, like you had better do, they railed against me for giving them the truth about their sins. Don't deceive yourselves."

"Neither the sexually immoral, nor the idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes, nor homosexual offenders, nor thieves, nor greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God," said Robertson when he quoted the same Bible verse that offended some people back in late December, and which led to his brief suspension from the hit A&E reality show.

"The news media didn't even know it was a verse! They thought I was just mouthing off. 'Is homosexual behavior a sin?' The guy asked me. I said, 'Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Don't be deceived."

He also explained that he was not passing judgment on other people because he is far from being a perfect person.

"That list of sins covered me in my past life," said Robertson. "We've all been there. The reason we're here today is to remind us of the gospel that's preached."

Season 6 of the critically acclaimed reality series "Duck Dynasty" returns on the A&E network on Wednesday June 11 at 10 pm EST.
