'Duck Dynasty' star John Luke Robertson recently proposed to girlfriend Mary Kate McEacharn during his 19^th birthday celebration on Saturday, Oct. 11, and shared tidbits of their adorable romance.

"I am so excited to marry my best friend," John Luke shared in an interview with Us Magazine.

"I know my parents married young as well, and they have always been examples of what 'could be' to me. Fast-forward 22 years and they are more in love than ever, and I hope Mary Kate and I are the same way in the years to come. God has truly blessed us," the 19-year old reality star said, as if on cloud nine.

McEacharn proudly posted a picture on her account flaunting her engagement ring while Robertson holds a sign that reads "Future Mrs. Robertson" with an arrow pointing to her.

Robertson proposed to McEacharn in a creative way, using a photo album of their history together, starting from where they met four years ago at camp.

Robertson dished out details about his proposal." We got to the last two pages, and I had a note written: Love you so much...we've had so many adventures with each other, and I can't wait for the rest of our lives."

While his fiancé flipped through the last page which displayed a picture of a ring, the reality star got down on one knee while holding a ring and proposed.

The couple met back in 2010 during a Christian summer camp and got closer during a high school chemistry class. "There was some chemistry," Robertson jokingly stated.

The courtship went on for almost a year as he continued to pursue McEacharn despite being turned down several times. "I had tried to date her before, and she kept turning me down! I just kept at it and she finally said yes!," Robertson exclaimed.

The two officially became a couple in March of last year and Robertson admitted that McEacharn was "the one." adding, "I just knew," he gushingly said.

Robertson also outlined sweet details about what made him choose McEacharn and their God-centric relationship.

"First of all, she would always listen to my stories and laugh at my jokes, so that was a plus. She never gave me the time of day until I started talking about Jesus-That was the only thing we could talk ever talk about. And I knew then that she was a good one, because she would help me grow in my faith...And she was pretty good looking!"
