Duck Dynasty Cruise 2014 Adds Scotty McCreery to Cast / American Idol Winner Performs at Sadie's "Sweet 16" Party
Many Americans love Duck Dynasty for its unabashed southern approach to faith, family and having a good time. Well Americans, y'all should be happy to know American Idol alum Scotty McCreery will be joining the Duck Dynasty Duck Commander Cruise.
McCreery announce news of the cruise on Twitter on Monday:
"So here's the news ya'll," started the 19-year-old. "I'll be joining the @DuckCruise with @DuckDynastyAE next summer! Gonna be tons of fun! Come out and sail with us!"
The Duck Commander Cruise let's fans of the hit show meet and greet, and really get to know the Duck Dynasty cast on a personal level. Fans of the show know the Robertsons earned their fortune with Duck Commander, their family duck hunting business.
McCreery's no stranger to the cookie Louisiana family. He's been off-roading with the kids and has even had meals with the family.
"The first time I met Sadie and John Luke was at the Opry in Nashville," McCreery told Country Weekly. "I saw her tweet that said she was in Nashville, so I said, 'Hey, you want to come to the Opry?' I've watched the show since season 1 and we had exchanged tweets before."
McCreery also recently serenaded Duck Dynasty star Sadie Robertson, performing at her Sweet 16 birthday party. What a sweetheart. Taking time away from his first headlining tour to show his support for the Duck Dynasty family.
After the party, Sadie tweeted a picture of her and McCreery: "This boy made my birthday the best day of my life! So thankful that he came down for my party!"
Duck Dynasty Season 4 is set to premiere August 14 on A&E.
