Drudge Report News: Ted Cruz Jokes Obama ‘Doesn’t Have a Job', Plays too Much Golf
This Sunday, Ted Cruz, the Republican Senator from Texas, was in the focus of a Drudge Report. An article on the website quoted Cruz saying that President Barak Obama ought to take a vacation close to the Texas-Mexico border to play golf.
Cruz said, "It almost seems like the PGA oughta put him on retainer," he said in Dallas this weekend. "I don't know about you, but I've never known anyone who plays that much golf. It's almost like he doesn't have a job, like he's retired or something."
It appears that Senator Cruz is determined to continue with his anti-Washington D.C message, as he said, "I spent last week in Washington, D.C," adding, "It's great to be back in America."
Setting this aside, Cruz also supported his 2013 moves wherein he tried to shut down the federal government.
Cruz is reported to have remarked that President Obama's "popularity has plummeted" because of his actions. He further said, "Any student of military history knows wars are not typically won in the first skirmish."
A report by ABC News said Cruz also spoke about ISIS, or the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, as well as recent comments Obama made regarding this terror organization that have been plaguing lives in the region, besides creating a political tumult across the Arab world.
Referring to President Obama's recent comment that the US does not have any 'strategy' to deal with ISIS at present, Cruz sarcastically said, "I'm sure everyone was shocked to hear this."
Cruz said, "America has always been reluctant to use military force, but we have never shied away from defending the United States of America," adding, "ISIS says they want to go back and reject modernity, well I think we should help them. We ought to bomb them back to the Stone Age."
