‘DriveClub’ PS4 Connection Issues Latest News: Game Developers Consider Player Compensation
Even though 'Driveclub' game director Paul Rustchynsky has released an apology regarding server issues with the game, it seems like he's going to take it one step further and compensate players for their troubles.
Just two days after the release of 'Driveclub' on the PS4- Tuesday, Oct. 7 in North America, and gamers are already complaining about connection problems with the game.
Sony Entertainment and Evolution Studio's 'Driveclub' is evidently off to a rocky start after several gamers said they've been having problems trying to play the new title.
Now, Director Paul Rustchynsky stressed that the root of the problem is not server capacity, but solely "bugs on the server code."
Rustchynsky has taken to Twitter and apologized to players plagued by the game's connection problems.
When a player asked if Evolution Studios would give anything to try to amend the situation, Rustchynsky replied by saying, "We're considering all our options right now."
The game developers were reportedly confident that the title would be able to perform smoothly since they carried out a performance test before the launch of the game.
However, the players were still allegedly experiencing the same problems they did before, even after the game's servers received a much needed upgrade.
As of the moment, several online and social challenges are down, meaning that parts of the game that were supposed to be the game's crowning glory as a racing game.
Players posted on Twitter that the game seems "pointless" without having the ability to play and race with friends online.
Moreover, the PS Plus version of the much awaited racing game as well as the "My Driveclub" application were supposed to launch together with the retail version of the game, however it was temporarily delayed at the very last minute because of "heavy traffic" and "multiplayer connectivity issues."
The launch will reportedly resume once everything is fixed.
