Drake's new album Nothing Was The Same is one of the most anticipated releases for Fall 2013. Earlier this week it was announced that the new album release date would get pushed back a week from a Sept 17 to Sept 14 release.
New album art has popped up for Drake's new album (pictured above). The artwork was done by Kadir Nelson, who also did Michael Jackson's Michael cover back in 2010.
Nothing Was The Same will be the third studio album from the Canadian artist and his newest album since the release of Take Care in 2011.
Drake is producing his new album and has brought in many of his musical peers to help with the record including 2 Chainz, Big Sean, Jay-Z, Future, Rick Ross, Justin Timberlake, Jhene Aiko, J. Cole, TLC, and Miguel. So we will get to see who all ends up on the record.
Drake released his first single off of the upcoming album in Feb called "Started from the Bottom" and on August 4th, he released "Hold On, We're Going Home" as the second single off the new album.
While fans are waiting for the release of his new record, they will get a special performance from the rapper on television this weekend.
Drake will be performing at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards. Other performers will include Bruno Mars, Kanye West, Lady Gaga & Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.
