Drake and Rihanna's much publicized relationship continues to be played out in front of their millions of fans. In recent news, Hollywood Life has reported that RiRi has been distancing herself from her rapper boyfriend after he called her "too needy" despite Drake saying that he did not intentionally mean to hurt his girlfriend's feelings. 

The couple has had their fair share of fights and despite some rumors of a split, insiders assure that they still maintain in a relationship and are very much together still.

The 26-year-old We Found Love singer wants to prove something by keeping her distance from boyfriend Drake.  The 27-year-old Canadian rapper sparked friction between the pair when he made his "too needy" comments, according to reports, and that had laid a layer of strain on relations.

Rihanna is not at all pleased with her boyfriend's efforts to boost his career. 

"She's mad at him a little bit because he told her 'Babe, you're too needy.  Let me hustle babe.  Let me work.'  That really hurt her feelings because she really loves him and wants things to work out between them," a Hollywood Life anonymous source said.

As a result, RiRi allegedly unleashed her "stubborn" side and decided to make her point by giving him some space and keeping her distance. 

Despite the issues and rumors rocking their romance, the insider said that their relationship is still intact.

"It wasn't like he was trying to be mean, and the way he delivered the message to her was in the most respectful way.  He basically told her that he's on a serious paper chasing mission and wants to get all of it while the getting is good," Hollywood Life reported.
