Season 4 of Downton Abbey will be airing its final episode this Sunday. There will be several new storylines being introduced, including Edith's struggle with her new role as mother, and brother of Cora, Harold, played by actor Paul Giamatti, finding a connection with one of the servants.

The final episode of this season will feature the more detailed story lines of Harold, and Edith and her newborn child. Although Edith was supposed to have the child in Switzerland, it looks like she is coming back to London. Her character may be unhappy being thrust into a new identity as a mother.

Anna and John Bates will also find more screen time this Sunday.

In addition to these goings on in the season finale, there is some news as to new characters and narrative strains in Season 5. Two new characters are being introduced: a Russian refugee played by Rade Sherbedgia, and a guest of the Granthams played by Richard E. Grant. In a recent announcement, Downton executive producer Gareth Neame told fans: "We are delighted to welcome these talented actors to the world of 'Downton. The characters they play are set to bring yet more excitemen and intrigue to the show."

Downton Abbey is Masterpiece Theatre's period drama which aired in 2010, and has since garnered the respect of critics and fans alike. Often including historical events and scandals from the early 20^th century, it focuses on the lives of the aristocratic Crawley family and their servants in the Yorkshire country estate of Downton Abbey.

Dowton Abbey has been listed as one of the most widely watched television dramas in the world.
