Thursday's Nintendo Direct has debuted the Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze launch trailer.

Originally slated for a October release, the game was pushed back to Feb. 21. In the trailer, gamers can get a glimpse at gameplay, co-op, and the addition of Cranky Kong.

Interesting to note is that Donkey Kong will not utilize the Wii U's GamePad for interactive play. It will simply serve as the handheld play of the TV version. A new picture surfaced on Kotaku that shows the GamePad blank while playing the game.
