Our Thursday night baseball spotlight is on the Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles Angels. The Angels are the favorite. The Dodgers continue their unsuccessful road trips going 5-5 in their last 10 games.

Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp left the game Wednesday with a mild strain in his right hamstring. Though similar to the injury Kemp sufferer in his left hamstring, that caused him to miss two months, Kemp denies the severity.

After a miserable start to the season, L.A. Angels are finally playing better baseball. In May, the Angels are 15-12. The Angels are also 31-16 against the Dodgers, an Interleague record for wins over another team. However, the Angels are not without flaws. The Angels have a .224 batting average against left-handed pitchers, giving Lilly and the Dodgers an advantage.

The Angels send out May ace, Jason Vargas. Since 2009, Vargas is 12-4 with a 2.78 in the month; definitely an important statistic to keep in mind. I believe it will be a low-scoring game and ultimately give the Dodgers the upset.
