The Braves are going to L.A. to take on the Dodgers at home in some Thursday night baseball action.

It's been a forgettable 2013 season so far for Magic Johnson's Los Angeles Dodgers. The team and fans got a boost of energy from the up and coming phenom Yasiel Puig. When the new ownership bought the Dodgers, Puig was their first big investment, signing him to a $42 million contract over 7 years, which included a $12 million signing bonus. So far Puig has proven to be worth every penny.

In his first game, Puig made a great throw from right field nailing the runner on first who didn't tag up. In his second game, Puig homered twice. Everybody on the Dodgers staff agrees Puig has the best arm in the organization, and the best power [Look out Andre Ethier].

As for the pitching matchup, the Atlanta Braves are sending veteran Tim Hudson to the mound for tonight's start. Hudson [4-4, 4.80 ERA] had a good last game against NL East rivals, the Washington Nationals, but is coming off a tough May. However, Hudson has pitched better on the road, posting a 3.67 ERA.

Dodgers ace Zach Greinke has had his own problems to deal with. Greinke gave up 4 runs, 9 hits and 3 walks in 5 innings against the Rockies Saturday. Ever since he's returned from the broken collarbone, Greinke hasn't returned to his mega-contract capabilities. With Atlanta hitting well against right-handed pitchers all year, look for Greinke to have another rough outing.
