Doctor Who Season 8 Spoilers: Episodes 1-5 Scripts Leak Online, Fans Conflicted Whether to Read or Not

As Season 8 of Doctor Who premieres August 23, impatient fans can find spoilers for the first five episodes online because of a recent leak. Apparently, scripts for the episodes were leaked from BBC's Latin America office in Miami where they were being translated.

Bleeding Cool reports that watermarked copies of the scripts have been circulating on forums and fan sites around the Internet. Based on the leak, Doctor Who and Sherlock writer Mark Gatiss is writing the second episode, while Steven Moffat will be penning two episodes.

Some loyal fans are now facing a dilemma whether to read the scripts or not. Since the leak, fans of the hit series have taken to debating the issue online.

BBC said that they are investigating the leak and apologized to the cast and crew of the hit TV show. The network has also released a statement urging fans to keep any leaked information to themselves, "We would like to make a plea to anyone who might have any of this material and spoilers associated with it not to share it with a wider audience so that everyone can enjoy the show as it should be seen when it launches," said BBC.

The Doctor Who Season 8 premiere episode, "Deep Breath" will air on August 23, but fans will be able to view the episode in a special advanced screening in Cardiff, Wales, on August 7 as part of the "Doctor Who' World Tour. Reports have confirmed that the event is sold out.

The "Doctor Who' World Tour will include stops in Seoul, Sydney, New York, Rio de Janeiro, Mexico City, and London.
