'Doctor Who' 50th Anniversary Special / TRAILER, Photos Released Reveal Spoilers for Special Episode and New Season? [VIDEO]

Some photos from the Doctor Who 50^th Anniversary Special "The Day of the Doctor" were recently released by the BBC.

There's also a trailer [below] previewing potential spoilers and plot details.

No the images don't spoil anything about the upcoming episode but they do show the series' titular doctors, David Tennant and Matt Smith alongside John Hurt who will apparently take on a more evil character.

The show will air simultaneously in the U.S. and U.K. because the BBC doesn't want spoilers to ruin the episode for those that would get to catch the Anniversary special earlier.

That doesn't mean a few spoilers haven't already leaked online. In the photos that were just released you can see two of the tenth and eleventh doctors' companions Jenna Coleman and Billie Piper. Though they appear I the cast photos, Piper will not appear in the special episode.

Though BBC released the new photos, they're doing their best to remaining hush hush about plot details. In fact they're staying tight-lipped about any details.

All they've said came in the form of this official statement:

The Doctor Who 50^th Anniversary special will be, "a celebration for long-time fans and an opportunity for those new to the series to jump onboard."

The episode is scheduled to air November 23, 2013.
