Divergent 2 Spoilers, ‘Insurgent’ Cast Rumors: Rosa Salazar to Play Lynn
Due to the massive success of the box office hit, 'Divergent', producers have given a green light to a sequel entitled 'Insurgent' that is going to continue right where the original film left off.
In 'Divergent' Tris successfully survived the attack on her home, but her family paid an awful price, in terms of great sacrifice. Filled with grief and revenge, she becomes an even more reckless character as she tries to accept her new life, which will be seen in the upcoming blockbuster.
Meanwhile, Lionsgate announced the name of the actress who will play the role of Lynn, one of the Dauntless-born who made it through the initiation.
Lionsgate chose Rosa Salazar to play this role. Salazar is known for her role in NBC series, 'Parenthood', as Zoe.
With this announcement, the fans have mixed emotions about the casting. A few of them expressed their dismay on Facebook.
"...she does not look like what I pictures in my head," said one fan.
Another said, "OK. C'mon. WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY DOING WITH THE CHARACTERS?"
Other complained because her look is just "too cute" for the part. Lynn's character is known to be a little bit hardcore with golden-brown eyes and an eyebrow piercing. For some, Salazar just won't fit the role.
'Insurgent' is set to release on Mar. 20, 2015. The third installation of the novel, 'Allegiant', will be split in two parts with a one year gap in between each film.
