'Dishonored 2' Release Date Moved to 2016? November 2015 Launch Delayed
Rumor has it that 'Dishonored 2' has been moved from its November 2015 release to sometime in 2016.
Back in March, a slideshow presentation during the E3 convention presented a series of pictures that previewed the 'Dishonored' sequel as 'Darkness of Tyvia'.
According to a source who told NowGamer, the game's sequel is going to be a Arkane's Lyon studio's creation. It is also reported that the studio is working closely with Harvey Smith, a co-creative director of the first 'Dishonored' installation. Additionally, the game will be released on different platforms such as PC, PS4 and Xbox One, and originally set the release date for November 2015.
However, a poster has recently appeared showing the new logo of 'Dishonored 2', and some conflicting information. In the new poster, the release date is said to be 2016, but, according to VG247, this poster could just be fan-made. As for the legitimacy of the information in the poster, VG247 is still on the works of confirming it with Bethesda.
The sequel will feature a new character that aims to "annihilate the outsider" in the new world of Tyvia. The characters will also have updated powers.
In the poster, there was a mention of the DOOM beta access, a pre-order incentive for 'Wolfenstein: The New Order'. However, it is believed that this is just a spelling error.
A tipster told VG247 that the spelling mistake is due to early draft revisions.
"In case you are wondering, the misspelling Access is due to being an early draft of the E3 Press-Fact sheet, which will head out at the end of March officially to the press. A corrected version is available."
The newer version of the poster no longer indicates the incentive.
