Diem Brown Cause of Death: MTV Star Dies Aged 32, Losses Her Battle with Cancer
According to People magazine, reality star Diem Brown recently passed away after losing her battle with cancer at the young age of 32. Brown was known for her appearance on the hit MTV reality shows 'Real World' and 'Road Rules Challenge'.
Brown's cancer was never a secret. Even during her first appearance on the MTV reality show, in 2006, she proclaimed on the show that she had cancer. On the second season, she even took off her wig one day and in a dramatic way as she displayed the effects her illness with all her fans.
She was first diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2006. After remission, the illness came back in 2012. Huffington Post says, she had discussed her second diagnosis on Dr. Drew and said, "I didn't understand, really, that it could come back again."
However, she didn't give up and said that she would fight it again, like she had the first time. But, in 2013,she became sick again. This time it was with colon cancer and unfortunately on Friday November 14th, she passed away.
Based on statements made by other sources, such as CNN, Brown was quite open and strong when it came to her battle with cancer. Even when she was first diagnosed she was only 23, and that didn't make her stop living a fulfilling life.
After her appearances on the shows everyone knew about her illness and how strong she had to be to fight it. Despite her illness she wrote on a blog for People and even formed a gift registry website known as MedGift which would help other people who were ill. She spoke out to youth who had cancer and tried to motivate them about life by telling them to never give up on life, as stated by Vulture.
Based on CNN and other sources, the MTV network has stated that, "MTV is tremendously sad to hear the news that Diem Brown has lost her long battle with cancer. We send our deepest condolences to her family and friends. Diem was a true fighter and brought passion to everything she touched. We will miss her."
