Pitching Matchup:

St. Louis Cardinals: Lance Lynn (7-1, 2.91 ERA)
The St. Louis Cardinals are in danger of their first losing streaking more than a month's worth of games. To kick off a four-game series against the NL West leading Arizona Diamondbacks on the right foot, Cardinals look to pitcher Lance Lynn, whose pitched phenomenal for the Cardinals this season.
Lynn has only won one game in 4 appearances against the Diamondbacks. He gave up four runs in four innings against the Diamondbacks in his first start of the 2013 MLB season.
If Lynn gets behind early in the game, the Cardinals will look to hot hitter David Freese for some production in the lineup. Freese is chasing a 13 game hitting streak tonight, after a game-tying two-run homer against the San Francisco Giants Sunday.
On the other hand, the Arizona Diamondbacks are also division leaders, ahead of the Rockies and Giants by 2 ½ games in the NL West. Much of the Diamondbacks success comes from a red-hot pitching rotation. Diamondbacks ace Patrick Corbin, became the league's first nine game winner after an 8-4 victory over the Cubs.
Fellow Diamondbacks stud Trevor Cahill is starting on the mound against the Cardinals. Cahill is 0-1 with a 3.06 ERA against the Cardinals.
Tune in to see the St. Louis Cardinals host the Arizona Diamondbacks tonight at 7:15 CT on ESPN.
