Episode 2: "Every Silver Lining" airs July 7 on Showtime. Picking up where Season 7 left off, the premiere episode of Dexter Season 8 sees a drug-rattled Deb, who has quit her job for Miami PD, now working for a private investigation firm. Is Deb's guilt causing her to destroy her life?

Dexter appears sane as ever...on the outside. Inside, he's just as loveably neurotic. He coaches his son Harrison's soccer team, and doing better than ever as the blood guy at work.

However, Season 8's new villain, Dr. Vogel, is on to Dexter. Being an expert on psychopaths, Vogel is keen on the personality signs and reads Dexter from a mile away. Does she want to reveal Dexter's true nature, use him as a case study, or kill him?

What about the Brain Surgeon, who cuts out parts of his victim's brains? Is it Vogel? Seems a little too obvious. Then who? According to the Episode 8 preview trailer it looks like Vogel and Dexter even team up. Is the killer one of Vogel's former patients?
