The Tigers are looking to winning the first game of the three game series against the Indians tonight after the first game between both teams was postponed last night. The Tigers were defeated the San Diego Padres by the final score of 5-1 on Sunday. Tigers star pitcher Max Scherzer (0-1) got the loss for the Tigers three days ago. The Tigers are hoping tonight's starter Anibal Sanchez will out duel Indians starter Zach McAllister when the two men oppose each other tonight.

"I don't think they're do-or-die games, but certainly division games have an added importance," said Tigers skipper Brad Ausmus to reporters after Sunday's loss to Padres. "I even think the Opening Series, besides the fact that it was Opening Day, playing Kansas City (was essential). Within the division, whether it's April or it's September, and I realize in September the pressure cooker could be a little bit hotter, but I think division games are always important."

The Indians look to defeat the Tigers on the road tonight. The Indians lost to the Chicago White Sox by the final score of 4-3 on Sunday. Cleveland closer John Axford (0-1) suffered the loss for the Indians a few days ago. Indians starter Zach McAllister (1-0) looks to get the win tonight when he pitches against Tigers pitcher Anibal Sanchez tonight.

"Yeah. I don't know if I can put my finger on it," said Indians outfielder David Murphy to reporters about his strong performance this year. "The Lord has definitely provided. I'm seeing the ball well."
