'Destiny' PC Release Date Rumors: PC Version In March 2015, Beta Phase A Great Success

'Destiny', the forthcoming shooter game from Bungie, is set for release on Sept. 9 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Nevertheless, the release date for PC has yet to be confirmed, but sources speculate a March 2015 launch.

Bungie says that the game's beta phase, which was a resounding success, has just ended. Similar to all other game beta phases, it enables players to test the game's limits. The test run provides the developers with an opportunity to detect bugs and errors, while the players get a chance to express their suggestions, complaints and issues.

As far as Bungie is concerned, the beta phase of 'Destiny' has helped the developers tremendously, as they learned several lessons and got an opportunity to improve each and every aspect of the game.

A post on the official Facebook page of Bungie says, "The Destiny beta was a tremendous success from where we sat overlooking the Tower. If you played, Bungie thanks you from the bottom of our hearts. We learned so much about our game, and how we can make it better."

Subsequently, Bungie also took to Twitter to thank fans and players for their feedback, writing, "Bungie thanks you for playing. We made some great discoveries of our own, and we'll use them to make Destiny a great game for all."

However, Bungie did not spell out the precise number of people who participated in the beta -- nevertheless, the number appears to be large enough. Bungie community manager Eric Osborne remarked, that he was "gobsmacked by the numbers."

On a side note, Bungie says that they are looking to keep the game constantly updated after it's initial release.
