'Destiny' End Game Raid Update Release Date: New Title Takes Hardcore Dungeon Approach

Recently, the new Bungie title 'Destiny' broke the record by garnering 4.6 million players during its recent open best test. Beyond that, after many hours of first-person shooter action, gamers are wondering what the end-game will look like, on their PS4, Xbox One, PS3, and Xbox 360 consoles when the title comes out.

Luke Smith of Bungie offers his take on what interested gamers can expect with 'Destiny' by the time it finally releases, "I think Destiny's endgame begins as soon as you see the way the story ends," Smith stated.

He mentions that players who complete the story in the game will realize that they've only just begun their quest, "As soon as you see the way we wrap up the sort of first piece of the adventure that we're going to tell because we want to set you back out into the world to keep going."

Also, Smith provided his insight into what Bungie is looking to do as far as 'Destiny's' end-game is concerned, "We want to try to align your motivations as the player with the motivations of the character who you've been pushing around this world. So for us I think a bunch of the endgame starts right at level 20." he said.

In an IGN report, specific details about end-game dungeons are revealed and showcases how hardcore and challenging they will be. Apparently players will not be able to queue up for "match making" or "party finder" in this new next-gen console MMO. They will be forced to form their own groups, consisiting of six players.

Bungie wants the players to dedicate a lot of time and effort to their raids, instead of the common 20-60 minutes dungeon runs that is common in current MMORPGs these dates. Since there will be no way players can randomly be matched up with others to try their hands at the dungeons, it seems as though they will be quite a challenge.

Smith stated, "The [raid] activity is going to take you and your group of five buddies into a place that you've never been,"

Bungie's new 'Destiny' game is set to release on September 9, of this year.
